How to request deletion
If the signed-in in-app deletion flow is available to you, that is the fastest option. If not, use the request form above and we will follow up if further verification is required.
What is deleted
- Account profile data
- Circle memberships, prayer requests, messages, reactions, and other user-generated community content tied to your account
- Private journal entries and personal notes stored for your account
- Uploaded media tied only to the deleted account
- Notification tokens and account operation metadata
What may be retained
Some limited records may be retained where required for:
- Legal compliance
- Security and fraud prevention
- Accounting or tax requirements
- Dispute resolution or legal claims
Current retention windows may include:
- Backup copies: up to 35 days
- Security and abuse logs: up to 12 months
- Billing, tax, and transaction records: up to 7 years where required
- Deletion-request audit records: up to 24 months
- Legal hold or dispute records: until resolved
Deletion timeline
- After successful verification, account access is disabled promptly.
- Deletion from active systems is generally completed within 30 days.
Subscription notice
Deleting your Oriah account does not automatically cancel App Store or Google Play subscriptions. Store-managed subscriptions must be canceled through your Apple or Google account settings.
